This model, known in international circles as Cuff, fits like a protective collar around wall of the hoof and the sole. The steel or aluminium horseshoe that governs the shape can be renewed at any time during the shoeing period without having to remove the glued-on shoe and damaging the horny box (capsula ungulae). Due to the fact that you can also screw in caulks or inserts to prevent snowballing, the Cuff provides unrestricted versatility for riding and driving. Is also possible to use any commonly available „plastic shoe“ instead of the profile shoe. For an accurate, snug fit, it is first of all necessary to shape the profile shoe in accordance with the contours of the hoof and screw it together with the Cuff prior to adhesive application. If the angles of the wall of the hoof and the wall of the shoe greatly differ, please cut into the wall of the shoe. This will have no adverse effects on adhesion.
